The essentials
- Professional photo or logo. People remember faces. Use a clear headshot, or your logo for a brand profile.
- Full name and job title. Be specific: "Commercial Real Estate Broker" beats "Sales".
- Company name. Link it to your website.
- One-line value statement. What you do and for whom, in under 15 words.
- Phone and email. Use tap-to-call and tap-to-email buttons.
- Save contact button. The single most useful feature. It puts you in their address book.
The extras that convert
- Website or portfolio link.
- Booking or calendar link. Let people schedule a call without email back-and-forth.
- WhatsApp or messaging. Many customers prefer chat.
- LinkedIn and one or two social profiles. Pick the ones you actively use.
- Review links. A link to your Google or TripAdvisor page turns every contact into a potential review. See how to get more Google reviews.
- Location. A map link for shops, offices and service areas.
What to leave off
- Your home address or personal number, unless you want it public.
- Every social account you own. Too many choices lower clicks.
- Long biographies. Keep it scannable on a phone.
Keep it fresh
The advantage of a digital profile is that you can edit it any time. Update your role, offers and links without reprinting. Create yours free with Taploe digital business card, or add a physical NFC business card that opens it with a tap.
